In 1890, the Delta Chi fraternity was established at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY.  Today our brotherhood remains every bit as strong as it was over a century ago, with nearly 70,000 members and over 125 chapters internationally.  Delta Chi takes great pride in being the first fraternity to ban hazing and abolish "hell week" when we did so in 1929.  It has always been the mission of Delta Chi to provide its members with the best college experience possible.

Here at Washington State University, our positive outlook is no different.  We recently accepted the University's Interfraternity Council award for Outstanding New Member Education Program as well as the awards for Programming, Alumni Relations, and Outstanding Intramural Sports.  We also hold an annual philanthropy event that attracts strong sorority participation and raises money for charity.  In addition to our success in those endeavors, we are committed to success in the classroom as well.  We believe the key to a strong fraternity is a fine scholarship program, and we will accept nothing less than the highest academic achievement.

That being said, we also understand the importance of a strong social calendar.  Some of your greatest college memories will come from our annual ski and raft trips, White Carnation Formal, Barn Bash, Homecoming, Greek Week, Sweetheart Dance, Construction Dance, our Pledge Class Dances, Black Light Toga, and numerous other sorority exchanges.  Social events not only serve as a way to kick back and have fun after a long week, but they help improve chapter morale and help build the friendships that you will keep during your college years and beyond.  At Delta Chi we re proud to say that we do not only aid personal growth and development, but we provide you with "A BROTHERHOOD OF A LIFETIME."
