Lambda Chi Alpha (LCA) was founded at Boston University in 1909, and has since grown to over 200 chapters throughout the United States and Canada. Since its establishment at WSU in 1914, over 1500 men have experienced the honor of being associated with our brotherhood.
Associate Member (A.M.) Program: LCA is unique within the fraternity system in that we have eliminated the concept of pledgeship. LCA has long rid itself of senseless concepts associated with pledgeship such as work details, hazing, and hell weeks. When a new man associates with LCA, he shares the rights and privileges of fully-initiated members. One aspect of our A.M. program is the involvement between A.M.s and older members. The older members advise and guide A.M.s through their ordeals.
Brotherhood: Our brotherhood is recognized around campus as one of the strongest among fraternities. The brotherhood of LCA is consistently in the top three of all intramural athletic activities. We enjoy the facilities of an official beach volleyball court, pickleball court, and basketball court. Our brotherhood encourages personal academic success at all levels.
Social: LCA enjoys one of the busiest social calendars packed with events with Kappas, Pi Phis, AGDs, DGs, Gamma Phis, and AOPis. We have long social traditions which include a raft trip, Firemans Ball, cruise, formal, and Lambda Luau. Our positive rapport among other top fraternities allows us to partake in numerous biads and triads.
