Scholarship: Delta Delta Delta believes that scholarship is a vital part of our sorority life. Our chapter offers a scholarship program emphasized by an entire house wired for wireless internet access, test files, study tables with proctors, and an effective study environment. We have a 24 hour quiet study and plenty of places to hook up our computers so we don't have to study in one place. Our members are achieving academic potential or are receiving support as well as recognition.Social: Tri Delta begins the school year with a raft trip with our much-awaited new members. We will also be participating in the new Challenge course at the beginning of the year. Annual fall functions include a formal, cruise on Lake Coeur d'Alene, Greek-or-Treat, and a senior date dash. We are very involved in Homecoming and Greek Week. We also have numerous dessert socials, BBQ's, and movie nights with fellow sororities, fraternities, sports teams, and the fire fighters. We also have numerous date dashes including: Valentine's Day, Cocktail, St. Patrick's day, and others. Our sisterhood events include Big Sis/Lil Sis, Deltas Only, movie nights, Halloween pumpkin carving, Elfing serenade, and all chapter retreats/lock-ins.
Philanthropy: The women of Tri Delta believe our philanthropic activities and donations to children's cancer charities illustrate the true meaning of helping others. For over 26 years, chapters of Tri Delta across the United States and Canada have made quite an impact by conducting fund-raisers, donating money and volunteering their time for research, support, and treatment of the disease. The Fraternity has raised more than $10.5 million for various childhood for various childhood cancer charities, hospitals, research facilities and cancer camps. St. Jude's Children's Hospital is Tri Delta's national beneficiary for funds raised from our philanthropic activities. It costs one million dollars a day to run the non-profit organization and we are proud to be able to raise thousands of dollars a year from various activities. Our annual "Boy's @ Bat" softball game really encourages the Greek Community to come together for the children. We are putting on a community BBQ in the spring and a pancake feed in the fall and all the proceeds will go to St. Jude's. We participate in Adopt-a-Block a few times during the year to clean up the streets we live on and around the Greek Community.
